The Barbados Nut Tree is a tropical evergreen tree that can reach heights of 5-6 meters, with a spread of up to 5 meters. It has a short, thick trunk with a rounded shape and thick, leathery, dark green leaves. The tree produces small, bright yellow-green flowers that are followed by large, round, green fruits that contain 3-4 seeds. It is a hardy, drought-tolerant tree that is used for both ornamental and agricultural purposes. It can be used as a windbreak and shade tree. The seeds of this tree are high in oil content and can be used to make biodiesel fuel.
What is included:
Each sapling will be geolocated and can be photographed with a bespoke message in view of the sapling when planted. It could take a few weeks to several months before the tree is ready to be planted but gifters and giftees will be kept up to date on the progress.
