The Desert Date Tree is a species of flowering plant that is native to Africa, the Middle East, and parts of India. It can grow to a height of 6-15 meters tall and has an open, spreading crown that is 10-15 meters in diameter. Its trunk is usually smooth and grey, with a thick bark. It has compound leaves with a deep-green color and is topped with yellow-green flowers that are arranged in clusters. Fruit is produced in the form of a drupe which is yellow-brown in color and contains a single seed. The Desert Date Tree is a hardy species that is tolerant of drought conditions and can thrive in a variety of climates.
What is included:
Each sapling will be geolocated and can be photographed with a bespoke message in view of the sapling when planted. It could take a few weeks to several months before the tree is ready to be planted but gifters and giftees will be kept up to date on the progress.
