The Gum Arabic Tree is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree that is native to Africa, the Middle East, and India. It can grow from 6 to 15 meters in height, and its trunk can reach up to 40 centimeters in diameter. Its bark is smooth and light grey in color, and its leaves are divided into two parts, with a deep green color and a velvety texture. It produces small yellow flowers and its fruits are small, round, and sweet. The tree is well known for its gum resin which is used in many products such as food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. It is also used to produce adhesives. The gum arabic tree is a valuable resource, and its products are becoming increasingly popular around the world.
 
What is included: 
Each sapling will be geolocated and can be photographed with a bespoke message in view of the sapling when planted. It could take a few weeks to several months before the tree is ready to be planted but gifters and giftees will be kept up to date on the progress.
